This is the perfect workshop to learn encaustic painting for the first time or refresh skills you may already have. While beginners learn the fundamentals, experienced students will have the opportunity to work on more advanced projects. We will then focus our attention on building rich texture with diverse brush work, stencils, stamps, and carving deep into the wax surface.

On the final day, we will introduce exciting mixed media materials such as R&F oil sticks, shellac burns, wall board compound substrates, graphite, carbon, Pan Pastels, joss paper, gold leaf foil, and so much more. This is also a good time to work on a project and put to practice some of the techniques you have just learned.
